Wednesday’s Wonder: A New Year for Travel

This Wednesday’s Wonder: Make 2015 the year of travel!

When I was a kid, my dad got me a subscription to National Geographic. I swooned for that magazine (no Highlights in this dojo). The earth is a pretty amazing place. As a chronic reader, I often immersed myself in the wonders of the world. From the natural forces of weather to the beautiful lakes and amazing rare animals, the world was really awesome on a glossy 8.5×11. I saw myself traveling in the future, but didn’t actually think it would happen.

Frank, on the other hand had skipped around the globe as a kid. He was basically living some of the NatGeo covers that I enjoyed so much.

That’s why all this traveling we do is still awe-inspiring. Travel literally never gets old. This year, we’ve got quite a few traveling plans up our sleeve. From right in our domestic backyard to parts of Asia, we’ve globe-hopping all over the place. In 2015, we plan to visit South Carolina, heading back to our favorite state of Missouri, heading northwest to Portland and then Northeast to Rhode Island, going south to Mexico and then heading to Korea and –once again–Japan.

This year, add a little more travel in your repertoire. It’s about time to make all those National Geographics covers come to life!

This could be your travel inspiration this year! This could be your travel inspiration this year!
