Edinburgh and Glasgow 4 Day Itinerary

The following is a part of our UK, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium trip. Please Click Here to see the London part of the itinerary.

We wanted to experience some highlights of urban Scotland. Since our time was limited, we vowed to be back in the future to experience the nature side and track down the legendary Loch Ness Monster. We arrived in Edinburgh via EasyJet from London around 10am and hopped on the Airlink 100 bus that took us to Waverley Bridge. After checking into our hotel on Princes Street with a direct view of the Castle (What a great surprise for $48USD a night). We visited the following all on foot:

  • New Town of Edinburgh (Princes, Rose, George, Hill, Queen)
  • Queen Street Gardens
  • Moray Place
  • Georgian House
  • Charlotte Square
  • Princes Street Gardens
  • Floral Clock
  • Waverley Market
  • Greyfriars Bobby
  • Museum of Scotland
  • Royal Museum

After dinner, we went back to the hotel and bought our tickets to the Edinburgh Castle online here to avoid the massive lines.

We set off early this day to pick up our prepaid tickets at the computer kiosk inside the castle. Everything we did this day was again all on foot including a nice relaxing morning stroll to the castle.
